Thursday February 24, 2005

Speaker: Harriet Lembeck Wine Educator and author

Michael Broadbent wrote "Unquestionably a great vintage and one which brought the decade to a resounding close." We tasted a dozen 1989 Bordeaux's including, Pichon Lalande, Palmer, Smith Haut Lafite, Beychevelle, Leoville Las Cases, Lynch Bages, La Fleur de Gay. Chateau Palmer was the favorite of the tasting. All the wines showed well. The wines were bought at auction. Prices for each wine can be found on the web.
