1996 Corton Charlemagnes

1996 Corton Charlemagnes

Thursday July 14, 2005

Speaker: Harriet Lembeck, Wine Educator and author

Michael Broadbent said 1996 are"wines with extra dimensions, as good as white burgundy can get." We tasted 13 sublime 1996 Corton Charlemagnes. Verget and Chartron et Trebuchet tied for first on the first vote. A runoff between the two resulted in Verget as the favorite of the tasting. Chartron et Trebuchet as second and Laleure-Piot was third. All the wines showed well. The wines were bought at auction. Prices for each wine can be found on the web.
