Speaker: Wilhelm Steifensand, President; P.J.Valkenberg Wine Importer
Germany is a nation of small wine-growers. The estate and wine maker is a key ingredient in the selection process in German wine. We tasted 12 wines selected from the greatest estates of Germany. Bassermann Jordan Estate Riesling trocken 2003 was the favorite of Flight I Dry Riesling, Grans Fassian Trittenheimer Riesling Kabinett 2003 was the favorite Kabinett of Flight II Mosel, Thanish Berncasteler Doctor Riesling Spatlese 2002 was the favorite Spatlese from Flight II, Schloss Johannisberg Riesling Kabinett 2000 was the favorite Kabinett in Flight III Rheingau, all liked the Spatlese for Flight III and the dessert wines of Flight IV.
