We tasted 17 fabulous wines from the Kobrand portfolio. The favorite White was Cabreo La Pietra 2003 Folonari, the favorite Red was Tenuta La Fuga Brunello "Le Due Sorelle" Riserva 1999 Folonari. Everyone liked the dessert wine Nivole Moscato d'Asti 2004 Chiarlo. The prices are full retail price.

Pinot Grigio Reserve Selection 2003 Bollini
100% Pinot Grignio. Gravelly alluvial soil from Fruuli-Venezia-Gulia, northern Adriatic coast. Light golden wine, fruit aromas, crisp, honey, hazelnut on palate. Light, pleasant wine.

Rocky soil, 100% Pinot Grigio. Richer, complex, mineral in nose, flinty. Long finish.

Piedmont.100% Cortese. Elegant, light, lemon squeeze, citrus. Well balanced. Excellent with seafood.

Campo al Mare Vermentino di Toscana 2004 Folonari
95% Vermintino, 5% Sauvignon Blanc. Clay and sand soil. Fermented in stainless steel tanks. Pale straw color, herbal nose with tropical fruits. Crisp, clean palate, long finish.

100% Chardonnay, no oak. Elegant, fresh, with citrus notes and a long finish.

Cabreo La Pietra 2003 Folonari
100% Chardonnay, 25 year old vines. Aged 1 year in oak barriques. Pale golden color, vanilla nose, notes of spice, round, complex, long finish. The favorite of the flight.

95% Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8 months in French oak, 3 months in bottle. Black fruit, complex, balanced, long finish, will last for 20 years.

100% Sangiovese Grosso. Fermented in steel tanks followed by 6 months in Slovenian oak. Spicy nose cherry notes, clean finish.
