Domodimonti is a boutique winery located in Montefiore dell’Aso in the region of La Marche, Italy. The main cultivated vines on the estate are Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Passerino, an indigenous white wine grape. Owned by Dr Franceso Bellini, his cornerstone philosophy is to make wines as naturally as possible. With the same passion for research and entrepreneurship in biotechnology, he weaves tradition and innovation in this, his latest venture. His love for the native soil and special attention given to the land is rewarded with fruit produced of quality and value which creates exceptional wine. We tasted 10 Italian wines, including 6 Domodimonti superior quality limited production wines: 4 current, 1 new, plus the exceptional $79.99 Solo per Te.
Everyone liked the Val d’Oca Prosecco Blue Veneto. Both Domodimonti Pecorino White DOC 2008 and Domodimonti Deja 2008 tied for favorite White. Domodimonti Solo per Te 2006 was the favorite Red and Domodimonti Il Messia 2006 placed second. Domodimonti Wines demonstrated the excellence of Dr. Bellini’s passion.
