The Oregon climate is well suited for burgundian style wines. We have taken a tour of Oregon's wine regions and tasted over 19 wines from Willamette Valley, Tualatin, Domaine Drouhin, Sokol Blosser, Argyle, King Estate, Amity Vineyards, Silvan Ridge, Cooper Mountain Vineyards. King Estate Pinot Gris 2003 was the favorite white and the favorite red was a tie between Sokol Blosser Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2001 and Cooper Mountain Vineyard "Five Elements Series" Old Vines Pinot Noir 2000.
All the wines showed well.
Aperitif: Argyle Sparkling Brut 1999 $21.00
Golden yellow color, millions of tiny bubbles, aroma of pear and vanilla bean. Flavor is citrus, pear, vanilla. Finish is complex and fresh.
