We tasted 7 superb Rose’s: 1 Rose Champagne, 1 Rose Sparkling, 5 Rose’ wines from Provence, Alsace, Rhone, and Languedoc. Prices are medium NY area prices found on the web. We asked for one vote for favorite for Flight I, Flight II, Flight III. Chateau Sainte Marguerite “Love Provence” Rose 2017 was the favorite of Flight II. Domaine de la Solitude Rose 2017 Rhone was the Favorite of Flight III. Drappier Brut Nature Rose Champagne was the top Favorite of the bubbly’s. All the wines showed well. It was an delightful tasting of delicious Rose’s.
The Monterey Jack Cheese of Cabot Cheese of Vermont was provided with the tasting.

 
Flight I: Sparkling Votes Full Retail Price $
Doppff + Iron Cremant Rose Sparkling, Alsace
100% Pinot Noir grape. Pale pink color. Red berry fruit on nose. Round and elegant on the palate. Very dry. It is a pleasant wine with long lasting aromas.

Grenache, Cinsault (vines from 1936). Clear and bright color with a light pink hue. Floral nose with aromas of white flowers and passion fruit. Minerality, with peach, and orange peel on palate. Very long finish. Finesse, elegance and aromatic pleasure. Delightful. The Favorite of this Flight.

Chateau de Campuget 1753 Rose 2017, Rhone
Grape: 90% Syrah 10% Vermentino
A pale rosé. The nose is full of grapefruit and exotic fruits. A delicate freshness offers a vibrant and delicate mouth with hints of red fruits.

Grape: 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah
Direct pressing, temperature controlled vinification. No malolactic fermentation. Aging in vats, on fine lees, with stirring, for a period of 5 months. Beautiful floral aromas lead to a light, fresh palate of fresh cut strawberries.

Rosé made by means of the saignée method with fermentation in vats lasting 3 days Only the juices from first pressing – The cuvee is aged for 7 years sur lattes (on laths). Complex bouquet of strawberry, raspberry and violets with toasted nuances. Round, supple, fresh and complex red fruits in the palate. A rich Champagne with great persistence. The Favorite bubbly.
