We tasted 14 incredible wines from 6 decades including 1959, 1961, 1962, 1966, 1979, 1988, 1991,1992,1993,1996, 1999 and 2000. Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 2000 was loved by all. Chateau Lynch-Bages 1988 was the favorite of Flight I. Chateau Haut-Brion 1993 was the favorite of Flight II. Chateau Margaux 1979 was the favorite of Flight III. Chateau Calon-Segur 1959 was the favorite of Flight IV. All the wines showed well except for Haut Brion 1966 which was oxidized.

Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 2000
Classic Cabernet. Only Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in blend. Leather, wood, tremendous tannin and fruit, lean and mean, drying on the plate, hint of licorice, spice, very rich, a lot of depth, very long finish. A terrific wine.
