The Wonderful 1985 Bordeaux

The Wonderful 1985 Bordeaux
Wednesday, October 8, 2003

Speaker: Mark Golodetz, Wine writer and Consultant
This horizontal tasting of eleven chateaux wines sampled the vintage that Michael Broadbent said "1985 is the best vintage of this splendid decade, typifying claret at its best." All wines showed well as mature, well balanced and drinkable now. Chateaux Mouton Rothschild was voted the best of the evening.

All wines were purchased at auction. Full Retail Price is an estimate of auction or retail store prices. Votes are the sum of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place votes for the wine.
